Peacock Grove organic and biodynamic farm is located on the banks of the Hunter River just outside the town of Maitland near Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
Our farm comprises 2000 olive trees and 15 head of cattle.
The olive trees comprise a number of table and oil varieties.
The farm is biodynamically certified with BFA/ACO (Certification # 10098BD).

Table Olives

Our table olives are Kalamata, Manzanillo and Chalkadiki. The olives are processed in brine, NOT Caustic Soda as is used conventionally, in an air-conditioned room over a period of many months until ready. They are then sold either in bulk containers (5 - 10Kg) or in 350gm, 800gm and 2Kg jars.

Olive Oil

Our oil olives are Koroneki, Frantoio and Menarki. All of these olives are milled in a traditional cold press. The oil is sold in 250mL  bottles, 1L, 2L and 10L casks and 20L metal drums.

Beef

Our cattle are pasture fed on our own farm and are NOT fed grain in fed lots as most commercial beef is produced in Australia.   This is not the natural food for cattle and has been found to cause permanent indegestion in the animals that suffer terribly as a consequence.  For more information on the effects of feeding cattle grain and other products in feed lots click on:

Our beef may be ordered  from us in two person portions for a quarter, half or whole animal and you can collect your order from our butcher in Rutherford,  Click here for beef information form  for details on how to place order. 
Alternatively you can order the same through FIG by phoning David on 0416 647 715 from 2.30pm to 5.00pm Mondays if you wish to place your order with FIG and collect your order from Orimbah.
